Ghana has officially revealed its new Black Stars jerseys for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a vibrant global launch event held in Brooklyn, New York.

The kits, produced by Puma, blend football with the rich Ghanaian cultural heritage.

The home kits for the four-time African champions is predominantly white with gold-yellow accents.

It features intricate patterns inspired by traditional art and Adinkra symbols with the iconic black star sitting prominently at the centre

The away kit on the other hand has bold golden-yellow (“Sunny Yellow”) design inspired by the vibrancy of Accra’s Makola Market and includes layered textures and indigenous artistic elements.

Puma’s design aims to celebrate Ghana’s cultural identity (Kente, folklore, Adinkra), merge tradition with modern football aesthetics, and present a bold African narrative on the global stage.

The kits were unveiled in a lively street-style event at Domino Square, blending football, music, and culture.

Former Black Stars captain and Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan was present while music star Black Sherif energized the crowd.

The launch, among others featured street football games, fan zones, and performances.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico will mark Ghana’s fifth appearance at the Mundial.

Meanwhile, fan reactions have been divided, while some praise the cultural storytelling and originality, others feel the design is too complex or unconventional for a national jersey. Enditem
