The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced it has been granted financial clearance by the Finance Ministry to recruit health professionals across the country, according to a statement on Thursday.
The statement, signed by Tony Goodman, Spokesperson for the MoH, said the recruitment exercise will commence on April 16, 2026.
The recruitment exercise, which will be decentralized based on verified vacancies, the health ministry observed, will be competitive, transparent, and guided by an approved quota system across all cadres and year groups.
“The Ministry of Health announces the commencement of a nationwide recruitment of health professionals effective 16th April, 2026, following the granting of financial clearance,” read the statement.
The ministry urged qualified health professionals to monitor official MoH and district health administration channels for vacancy announcements and application guidelines.
All eligible professionals have been urged to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to strengthening healthcare delivery in the country. Enditem
