Maxwell Konadu names Black Satellites squad for U-20 tournament in Cote d’Ivoire

Maxwell Konadu, head coach for Ghana’s U-20 men’s national team, the Black Satellites, has named a 20-player squad for the 2026 West African Football Union (WAFU) B U-20 Championship, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed on Sunday.

The squad is a blend of experienced players and emerging talents from the premier and lower-division domestic leagues.

The players include;

The Black Satellites, paired in Group B alongside Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Togo, arrived in Yamoussoukro in neighboring Cote d’Ivoire for the tournament.

Ghana will play their opening match against West African rivals Nigeria on July 27 before taking on Burkina Faso and Togo in the remaining group matches.

The tournament serves as the qualifying competition for the 2027 TotalEnergies Confederation of African Football (CAF) U-20 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Ghana.
