Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang returned home to Ghana on Thursday after receiving extensive medical treatment in the United Kingdom (UK).
The return of the Vice President back to the jurisdiction marks the end of weeks of her medical leave, during which she sought further care in UK after an initial consultation at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s health status drew so much public concern, with some speculating about her possible passing.
Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu and other government officials however maintained the Vice President was in good health.

During his recent ‘Thank You Tour,’ at Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region, President John Dramani disclosed that his Vice President had recovered and will return to the country before close of this week.

“I’m happy to state that I spoke to her yesterday morning, and she will be back in the country before the end of next week. By God’s grace, she is fully recovered and she’s going to come and go back to her duties,” said the President. Enditem
