The 2024 presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia resumed the party’s national ‘Thank You Tour’ on Saturday after a brief break.
The tour, which had already covered 13 out of the 16 regions, was temporarily suspended to allow the former Vice President and other party executives to attend international engagements, including the 2025 International Democratic Union (IDU) Conference in Belgium.
The campaign resumes on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in the Eastern Region, where Dr. Bawumia and the NPP leadership are scheduled to meet with party stakeholders in Nkawkaw, Bunso, and Koforidua.
The team will wrap up the regional leg of the tour in Asamankese on Sunday.
The tour will then move to the Greater Accra Region from next Monday, May 26 with a series of engagements planned with party stakeholders.
The NPP 2024 presidential candidate has been using the tour to express his appreciation to the support base and Ghanaians in general for their continued support and also using it to rejuvenate the base of the party ahead of the next general election.
Dr. Bawumia lost the presidential election to John Dramani Mahama paving way for staging a comeback to the presidency. Enditem
