Entertainment pundit Nana Kwaku Duah has hailed the upcoming Volta Rave 2025 as a major boost for Ghana’s tourism sector, urging stakeholders to continue organizing similar events that highlight the country’s cultural richness.
Speaking on Entertainment Lounge on Atinka TV, hosted by Odeefour DiAsa Paapa, Nana Kwaku Duah commended the vision behind the Volta Rave tour, stressing its potential to promote the Volta Region, boost local economies, and create employment opportunities.
“The Volta Rave tour will help promote the Volta Region and create employment for the people, as they can sell their goods to visitors during the tour,” he said.
He highlighted the opportunity for local artisans to showcase and sell their crafts, enabling them to earn income while contributing to cultural exchange.
According to him, the three-day tour will feature stops at some of Ghana’s most scenic and historic locations, including Mount Gemi, Amedzofe, and Keta Beach, with additional visits to Lomé in Togo and a relaxing finale in Sogakope.
Nana Kwaku Duah also applauded Tourism Ambassador Abeiku Santana Aggrey for his role in promoting such transformative events and enhancing Ghana’s image as a vibrant tourist destination.
He emphasized that the Volta Region is often overlooked in favour of other regions, and initiatives like Volta Rave will help attract both local and diaspora visitors. He noted that such visits could open opportunities for supporting underprivileged communities, deprived schools, and less privileged children.
“People will even help the deprived schools, less privileged kids, and others as they tour the place,” he added.
To increase participation and national buzz around the event, he recommended involving more celebrities, citing musician Ayigbe Edem as a positive example. According to him, celebrity involvement will draw more attention, educate the public, and encourage greater attendance.
“They should add more celebrities to the tour, and with their fans, it will create more awareness about the need for the Volta Rave tour,” he emphasized.
Nana Kwaku Duah concluded by thanking the event organizers for the innovative concept and encouraged them to make it a regular fixture on the national tourism calendar. He also underscored the importance of giving young talents a platform to perform during the tour, offering them a chance to shine.
“Upcoming musicians will showcase their talent as the tour goes on by performing during the tour, helping them get to the limelight,” he said.
Volta Rave 2025 is expected to be a vibrant celebration of Ghanaian culture, adventure, and talent—offering a refreshing experience that promotes tourism and community development.
