The Inspector-General of Police (IGP, Christian Tetteh Yohuno has appointed Commissioner of Police (COP) Mrs. Maame Tiwa Addo-Danquah as the Director-General in charge of Research and Planning within the Ghana Police Service.
According to a statement signed by Director of Public Affairs, ACP/Mrs Grace Ansah-Akrofi, the appointment of COP Tiwa Addo-Danquah, together with 30 others, were to ensure effective management and operational control of the service.
“The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno has today, 19th March, 2025 made the following command changes to ensure effective management and operational control of the Ghana Police Service,” said the statement.
Until her appointment into the new role, COP Maame Yaa Tiwa Addo-Danquah was the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
She is also the first female of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC), Winneba. COP Tiwa Addo-Danquah was recruited into the Ghana Police Service on July 27, 1990. Enditem
