Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, late Tuesday named a 24-man squad for the double-header 2026 FIFA World Cup (WC) qualification matches against Chad and Mali early next month.
The squad features regulars including Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Antoine Semenyo, and Inaki Williams.
One of the standout inclusions is Union Berlin left-back Derrick Arthur Kohn, who earns his first call-up to the team.
The 26-year-old, who recently moved from Galatasaray to Union Berlin following a successful loan stint at Werder Bremen, made 27 Bundesliga appearances last season, scoring twice.
Kamal Deen Sulemana, who now plays in Italy for Atalanta after his switch from Southampton, is another addition. France-based midfielder Elisha Owusu also makes a return after recovering from a long-term injury.
Youngster Caleb Yirenkyi is rewarded for his strong performances with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland and his impressive showing at the Unity Cup in London.
Defender Tariq Lamptey rejoins the squad, while Christopher Bonsu Baah and Ireland-based goalkeeper Joseph Anang also earn places for the double-header.
Ghana will play against Chad away in N’Djamena on Sept. 4 and host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sept. 8, 2025.
