Newly admitted students of Senior High Schools (SHSs) began to report to their various educational institutions as the 2025/2026 academic year began on Saturday.
According to the Education Ministry, about 590,000 students have been admitted and are expected to report to their schools between today and next week.
The Ministry of Education has extended its congratulations and best wishes as they begin their senior high school educational journey.
According to a statement signed by Hashmin Mohammed, Press Secretary to the Minister for the period, it is a significant milestone in the academic journey of the students and a new chapter in their educational pursuit.
It encouraged the new students to approach this phase of their lives with dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm, adding that their commitment will be key to their success.
The ministry also commended parents and guardians for their patience and cooperation throughout the school placement process.
It reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality, equitable, and inclusive education for all Ghanaian children and assured the public that every effort is being made to ensure a smooth and successful start to the new academic year across the country. End item
