The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) on Friday increased the producer price of cocoa from GH¢41,392 to GH¢42,400 per tonne for the 2026/27 cocoa season.
The new price, announced by COCOBOD Chief Executive Dr. Randy Abbey, takes effect Friday, September 25, 2026. It translates to GH¢2,650 per 64-kilogramme bag.
The adjustment represents an increase of GH¢1,008 per tonne, equivalent to about 2.4% over the previous producer price.
The previous price of GH¢41,392 per tonne, or GH¢2,587 per 64kg bag, had been maintained for the 2026 light-crop season amid declining international cocoa prices. Enditem
