The Ghana Education Service (GES) has received financial clearance to pay some of the over 6,000 teachers recruited late last year, confirmed a statement on Thursday.
The statement, signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations, observed that the approval will enable the GES to complete all processes to ensure that the affected teachers receive their salaries.
“The Ghana Education Service announces that financial clearance has been granted for the payment of salaries of the remaining six thousand two hundred and forty-nine (6,249) teachers recruited in 2024,” read the statement.
“The approval allows the Ghana Education Service to complete all necessary processes to ensure the staff receive their salaries,” it added.
The GES assured it was working around the corner to ensure the staff was placed on the mechanized payroll by November 2025. End item
