Ghana and Burkina Faso have signed an agreement in Accra to deepen their defense cooperation, including measures to enhance security along key economic routes between the two countries.
The pact, signed on Monday, between Ghana’s Ministry of Defense and Burkina Faso’s Ministry of War and Patriotic Defense seeks to enhance security and escort support services along vital cross-border trade corridors between the two countries.
Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, Ghana’s acting defense minister, said the pact aims to safeguard economic stability, secure critical supply routes and strengthen defense ties between the two countries.
Burkina Faso’s Minister of War and Patriotic Defense Celestin Simpore signed the agreement on behalf of his country. Enditem
