Ghana’s senior male national team, the Black Stars, will face Colombia in the Round of 32 in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup on July 4, according to FIFA.
This comes after Ghana lost 1-2 to Croatia in the round of 32; the South Americans drew with Portugal in their final group game on Saturday.
The goalless draw between Colombia and Portugal at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami meant Colombia finished top of Group K with seven points, while Portugal remained second on five points. As a result, Ghana, who finished third in Group L, will now face the Group K winners in Kansas City on Saturday, July 4.
Despite losing to Croatia in their final group match, Ghana secured their place in the knockout stages as one of the best third-placed teams. The Black Stars finished with four points from their three Group L matches.
England won the group with seven points after beating Panama 2-0, while Croatia finished second with six points following their victory over Ghana. Panama was eliminated after losing all three games. Enditem
