GPL Matchday 17 Roundup: Vision FC stun Aduana at home, Hearts & Kotoko fall

The last match to end the first round of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL) was honoured in all league centres across the country with a lot of drama.

Matchday 17 kicked off on Friday at the Hohoe Stadium, where Hohoe United were held to a goalless draw by regional rivals Heart of Lions.

Vision FC recorded a surprise 1-0 win over Aduana FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Sunday.

All Blacks produced one of the weekend’s biggest upsets, picking all three points after defeating Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-1 at Swedru.

At the TNA Park, Medeama SC recorded a 1-0 win over Accra Hearts of Oak, tightening their grip at the top of the league log.

At the end of Matchday 17, Medeama occupy the topmost position of the log with Bibiani GoldStars, Kotoko and Aduana FC in second, third and fourth positions respectively.

Hohoe United, Berekum Chelsea, and Eleven Wonders remain in the relegation zone of the 18-team Premier League.
