UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Abu Dhabi on Monday to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.
Footage shows Fidan meeting the UAE president before officials from both countries sit down for talks.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the meeting focused on areas of cooperation between the UAE and Turkey and ways to further strengthen bilateral relations in support of their shared interests. The two sides also discussed regional and international issues, with particular attention to developments in the Middle East and efforts to promote security and stability.
Fidan also conveyed greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Sheikh Mohamed, who asked the foreign minister to pass on his regards to the Turkish leader.
Ahead of the visit, Anadolu Agency reported that Fidan was expected to review preparations for the second meeting of the Turkey-UAE High-Level Strategic Council.
The council was established in 2023, with its first meeting held at leaders’ level in Ankara on July 16, 2025, during a visit by Sheikh Mohamed. The two countries signed seven agreements during that meeting covering several areas of cooperation.
Fidan previously visited the UAE on March 20, when he was also received by Sheikh Mohamed in Abu Dhabi.
