Ukraine conducts strikes on Russia’s military, fuel facilities

Ukrainian forces have launched separate strikes on Russian military and fuel facilities, Ukrainian authorities said Monday.

   The Security Service of Ukraine said in a statement that Ukrainian drones destroyed a Russian Su-30SM aircraft, damaged another and hit three Su-24 aircraft in a raid on the Saky military airfield in Crimea.

   The attack also struck an aviation weapons depot, the statement added.

   Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces on Sunday struck a fuel depot at the Sochi airport, sparking a fire.

   The general staff added that a Russian military aviation unit was stationed at the facility.

   Ukraine also came under Russian attacks in the past day. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia made overnight raids on Ukraine on Monday, launching 162 drones and a Kinzhal hypersonic missile. The air defense intercepted 161 of the drones.  Enditem
