Guinean President Mamady Doumbouya on Monday carried out a partial cabinet reshuffle, bringing five new ministers, including two women, into the government while retaining Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah in his post, according to a presidential decree released by state media.
A key institutional change introduced in the reshuffle is the creation of the post of minister delegate to the president in charge of national defense, to which Ibrahima Kalil Conde, formerly minister of territorial administration and decentralization, has been appointed.
The new members of the government include Djenabou Toure, minister of territorial administration and decentralization; Aboubacar Kourouma, minister of industry and trade; Bintou Keita, minister of national education, literacy, technical education and vocational training; Lansana Bea Diallo, minister of youth; and Fode Tea Kouyate, minister of environment and sustainable development.
The reshuffle also saw several ministers retain their portfolios, while others were reassigned to different positions within the new government. Enditem
