GPL Roundup: Kotoko held by Lions; Gold Stars, Chelsea, Hohoe United, Medeama, and Young Apostles record wins in Match Day 4

The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League entered Match Day 4 in all league venues across the country with so much excitement and surprises.

This weekend’s GPL matches kicked off on Friday at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, where the glorious club Accra Hearts of Oak picked up a valuable point against Bechem United.

After exiting from the CAF Champions League, Bibiani Gold Stars travelled to the Central Region to beat Swedru All Blacks by 1-0.

There was so much drama on Sunday as Berekum Chelsea picked their first three points of the season, beating Basake Holy Stars 2-0 at the Golden City Park, while Kumasi Asante Kotoko settled for a goalless draw against league leaders Kpando Heart of Lions.

Newly promoted side Hohoe United recorded the biggest win, defeating Karela United 4-1 at Hohoe.
