Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to outline a new technical direction for the club following the resignation of head coach Karim Zito on Monday.
The club announced through its official handles that it will outline interim arrangements to restructure its technical setup as well as long-term plans, as they prepare for upcoming domestic fixtures in the Premier League.
Kotoko confirmed late Monday that Karim Zito has resigned from his position as head coach with immediate effect, with the club set to announce its new technical direction in due course.
In a statement released through the club’s official channels, Asante Kotoko said management had accepted Zito’s resignation and expressed appreciation for his services, while wishing him well in his future endeavours.
Zito’s departure follows a period of mounting pressure after Kotoko’s recent struggles, including their exit from the MTN FA Cup against Aduana FC on Sunday and their inconsistent league form.
The situation had sparked widespread speculation about his future, which intensified over the past week. Enditem
