Member of Parliament (M) for Yagaba-Kubori has denied any wrongdoing in the National Service Scheme (NSS) scandal, according to a statement released here over the weekend.
Ussif, a former Executive Director of the National Service Scheme observed that he is ready and willing to account for his stewardship at the secretariat between 2017 to 2021.
His comments follows a press conference by Attorney General and Minister for Justice Dominic Ayine who announced that his office was in the process of filing charges against some 12 persons including Mustapha Ussif, also a former Sports Minister.
“My attention has come to a press conference by the Attorney General held on June 13, 2025, and I wish to categorically deny any wrongdoing,” said the Yagaba-Kubore MP.
“That said, it is my fervent belief that once you hold office, you should at all material times, and at whatever cost, be ready, willing and able to account for your stewardship. Therefore, I wish to state that I am ready, willing, and able to account for my stewardship at the National Service Scheme from February 2017 to January 6, 2021,” he added.
The former NSS boss observed that he welcomes the opportunity to do including but not limited to having his day in a court of competent jurisdiction. Enditem
