The government has taken delivery of a total of one hundred 29-seater new buses to ease transportation difficulties faced by commuters in major cities across the country, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed the arrival of the buses on Sunday.
In his Facebook page, the Minister the arrival of the buses form part of a broader plan to expand capacity and ease pressure on commuters.
“100 new 29-seater buses have arrived in Ghana to help ease the ongoing road transport challenges, part of a 300-bus procurement plan,” read the post.

According to the Spokesperson to the President, another one hundred buses are expected to arrive in August, with the final batch scheduled for November 2026.
He added, “This should greatly improve transportation and reduce the daily struggles and rush for vehicles.” Enditem
