Former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu and former Interior and Greater Accra Regional Minister Hon. Henry Quartey have been announced to lead the campaign of Hon. Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko’s quest to becoming Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), according to a statement on Friday.
The statement, signed by Vincent Frimpong Manu Esq., Spokesperson, The Boakye Agyarko Campaign, announced that the campaign will be led by the two leading members of the party.
“Ahead of the upcoming New Patriotic Party internal elections, leading National Chairman Aspirant, Hon. Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has officially announced the top leadership of his campaign team, “read the statement.
It added, “The campaign will be led by two of the party’s most respected and experienced political figures: Hon. Henry Quartey, who will be the campaign manager and Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu, Senior Campaign Advisor.”
The statement further indicated that by selecting the two high-profile figures within the party, Hon. Boakye Agyarko has signalled his intent to run a grassroots-centred campaign.
According to the statement, the duo “bring to the table an admirable track record of grassroots mobilization, sharp political acumen, and significant national influence.”
Meanwhile, the two leaders, according to the statement have expressed deep conviction in Hon. Boakye Agyarko’s roadmap for the party and emphasized that they fully share his vision to rebuild, restructure, and rebrand the NPP for victory in 2028.
The statement finally announced that the comprehensive list of the full National Campaign Team, comprising experts in strategy, research, communications, and operations will be officially inaugurated in due course. Enditem
