‘Promoting education and skill training is my major priority’ – Agona Asafo Nkosuohene

The newly installed Development Chief, or Nkosuohen, of Agona Asafo in the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Area of the Central Region, Nana Kojo Nti I, has assured that promoting education as well as providing skill training for the teeming unemployed youth in the town will remain his major priority as Nkosuohen.                     

During his installation, Nana Kojo Nti swore an oath of allegiance before the chiefs and people of the town, urging the youth to train in vocational skills that will provide them with employable opportunities and to avoid using drugs.      

A product of Swedru Secondary School, the Nkosuohen of Agona Asafo promised to work in collaboration with all stakeholders, including the traditional rulers, to ensure that Agona Asafo gets the needed development that it deserves.                         

Chief of the town and Nimfahen of the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Area, Nana Yamfo Esuako XII, advised the newly installed Development Chief not to see his status as an opportunity to lord over the people but to serve.                        

He urged all and sundry to support the newly installed chief to make his reign a success.              

The Technical Advisor to the Minister for Agriculture and former Member of Parliament for the Kintampo North Constituency, Hon. Kwaku Adu Bondi, assured of Hon. Eric Opoku’s willingness to help promote and revamp agricultural activities in the area where the people are predominantly peasant farmers.

He donated GH₵20,000.00 on behalf of the Food and Agriculture Minister to help fund the town’s development. Enditem
