Donald Trump declared that it was ‘another day in paradise’ as he spoke at a Medal of Honor Ceremony at the White House on Thursday.
“I just do want to say though the stock market just hit a new all-time high, the 401ks just hit a new all-time high, and oil is dropping like a rock. Other than that, it’s another day in paradise,” he said.
Earlier this week, Trump signed off on a memorandum of understanding with Iran to end the latest conflict. It included a 60-day period to negotiate a final deal, an end to ‘all fighting’ – including in Lebanon – the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, the removal of the US naval blockade, an end to all sanctions, no nuclear weapons for Iran and a $300bn ‘development fund’ for the country.
