UK permits imports of diesel, jet fuel processed in 3rd countries from Russian crude

The British government has issued a general trade licence allowing the import of diesel and jet fuel processed in third countries from Russian crude oil, according to a government notice published on Tuesday.

The licence, issued by the Department for Business and Trade, covers specified diesel and jet fuel products processed outside Russia from Russian crude oil. It also permits certain services and actions related to the import of those products.

Britain has imposed a series of sanctions on Russia since the escalation of the Ukraine crisis, including restrictions on Russian oil and oil products. The latest licence sets out limited exemptions for specific diesel and jet fuel products processed in third countries from Russian crude oil.  Enditem
