Ken Ofori-Atta undergoes successful cancer surgery –Wife

Former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has undergone a successful cancer surgery in the United States, this is according to a statement released here Monday by the wife.

The statement signed by Prof. Angela Ofori-Atta observed that Mr. Ofori-Atta’s doctors are pleased with how the procedure went and will now place him on postoperative regime.

“My husband, Ken Ofori-Atta the former Finance Minister, has undergone the scheduled robotic assisted radical prostatectomy. This was to deal with prostate cancer and it was done at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota on Friday June 13. The procedure took four hours+,” said the statement.

Mrs. Ofori-Atta mentioned the period has been difficult for the family due to the decision by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to place her husband on Interpol’s red alert before his surgery.

“Kenneth has always been resilient. But this has been very difficult; with the OSP choosing the period just before his surgery to declare a red alert on him,” added the statement.

Mr. Ofori-Atta, according to the wife is bearing up well and focussed on doing whatever he can to be restored to good health.

The family expressed their gratitude to all those who supported them with prayers. Enditem
