Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson is scheduled to present the government’s 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, July 23, 2026, in line with Ghana’s constitutional and statutory requirements for reviewing the implementation of the national budget midway through the fiscal year.
The date was announced by parliamentary leadership during the presentation of Parliament’s business statement.
The review is expected to provide Members of Parliament and the public with an update on government revenue and expenditure performance during the first half of 2026, progress in implementing the 2026 Budget and key economic policies, fiscal and macroeconomic developments, including growth, inflation and debt management, and any proposed policy adjustments or supplementary measures for the remainder of the year.
The Mid-Year Budget Review comes amid continued focus on Ghana’s economic recovery, fiscal consolidation and implementation of reforms under the government’s economic programme.
Stakeholders are expected to closely watch the presentation for revised economic projections and any new policy measures announced by the Finance Minister. Enditem
