Kim Lars Björkegren, head coach for Ghana’s senior female national team, the Black Queens, has named a 25-player squad for the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The squad includes a blend of experienced foreign-based players and young talents who have impressed throughout the team’s preparations ahead of the WAFCON.

The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to be held in Morocco between July 25 and Aug. 16 this year.
Ghana will play their opening Group D match against Cape Verde on 29 July before taking on Cameroon on August 2. The Black Queens will play their last group match against Mali on Aug. 6.
Ghana is yet to win the WAFCON, as three countries, including Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and South Africa, have won the championship since its inception. Enditem
