The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has directed its registration officers in the recently held membership registration exercise to submit their registration books to the various constituency offices across the country, a statement confirmed on Tuesday.

According to the statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the submission of the books is intended to pave the way for the next phase of the exercise.

“This is to inform all Constituency Executive Committees to coordinate with all Electoral Area Coordinators to submit their registration books for polling stations to their respective Constituency Offices on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, to ensure timely data entry and processing,” read the statement.

The statement also announced that the official register after the exercise will be kept at the party office at all times.

“You are hereby further informed that the data entry shall be conducted at the Constituency Executive Committee and that the official register shall, at all times, be securely kept at the party office,” added the statement.

The party expressed its gratitude to its officers spread across the country for the success of the exercise.

The NPP began a nationwide registration exercise between March 1 and March 31, 2026. The exercise is part of a broader reorganization effort intended to update and expand the party’s membership base ahead of the 2028 general elections. Enditem
