Two Ghanaians sustain injuries over drone attack in Dubai – FM confirms

Two Ghanaians have been injured following a drone attack in Dubai, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the West African nationals were attacked in the vicinity of the Dubai International Airport in the early hours of March 11.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been informed by the relevant authorities in the United Arab Emirates that two Ghanaian nationals sustained injuries following a drone incident in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport today, 11th March, 2026,” read the statement.

Ghana’s Ambassador in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has led a delegation of the country’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Consulate in Dubai to visit the two injured Ghanaians in a medical facility.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the injuries of the Ghanaians are not critical and expect full recovery soon.

The government of Ghana expressed its concern over the incident and urged calm as it engage with the appropriate authorities as required. Enditem
