Confirmed information from W.B.M Zion Senior High School in Akyem old Tafo indicate that several persons have been rushed to the Tafo Government Hospital and the Kukurantumi Community Hospital following suspected food poisoning incident.
While the exact cause of the illness has not been confirmed, some students suspect it may be linked to rice purchased from the school’s canteen, while others believe it could be associated with kenkey served in the school’s dining hall.
School authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the incident, and the source of the suspected food poisoning remains unknown.
Food poisoning is caused by consuming contaminated food or water. The most common symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and fever.
