Agona Swedru: Nana Oduro Kwateng I goes home June 13

The final remains of the late Guantuahene of Agona Swedru, Nana Dr.  Bright Oduro Kwateng I will be laid to rest on Saturday 13th June 2026, the Royal Asona Clan of Agona Swedru has confirmed.                                      

Nana Efua Danquah I, announced during the observation of the 40 days after the passing of Nana Oduro Kwateng I that four days has been set aside by the Clan to mark the burial activities.

The burial activities, according to the Royal Asona Clan, will begin from Thursday 11th June to Sunday, 14th June in which a final church service will be held at the Emmanuel Methodist Church.         

As part of activities of his burial, no funeral will be held in the whole Agona Swedru township during the period.                 

Prior to his demise, Nana Dr. Bright Oduro Kwateng was appointed the Chief Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Local Government respectively.

He was also a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and the 2020 aspiring National Chairman of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP). Enditem
