Ghana’s Black Princesses have been eliminated from the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after suffering a 4-0 defeat to France in their final Group C match on Saturday.

The Black Princesses held France to a goalless draw in the first half, but the French side produced a dominant second-half performance to secure a convincing victory.

France opened the scoring in the 54th minute, before adding a second in the 69th minute. Two further goals, including a penalty, completed the 4-0 victory.

Ghana entered the match needing at least a draw to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage alive. The team had earlier lost 3-0 to Ecuador before recovering with a 3-1 victory over South Korea.

The defeat leaves Ghana bottom of Group C with three points, ending their campaign at the group stage once again. The Black Princesses have now failed to advance beyond the group stage in eight consecutive appearances at the U-20 Women’s World Cup. Enditem
