‘Life Is So Short’ singer Bernice Offei dies at age 63

Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Bernice Offei has died at the age of 63, according to sources on Saturday.

The respected singer reportedly passed away on the morning of Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Her death comes just days after she was reported missing in Accra, triggering an appeal from family, friends and members of the gospel music community for information about her whereabouts. She was later found and reported to be safe at the time.

Bernice Offei was known for several popular gospel songs, including “Hold On” and “Life Is So Short.” She had a career spanning several decades and was regarded as one of Ghana’s respected gospel music voices.

The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed.

Her passing has sparked tributes from fans and members of Ghana’s gospel music community, who have been celebrating her musical legacy. Enditem
