President John Dramani Mahama is expected to begin a two-day working tour of the Upper West Region as part of his government’s “Resetting Ghana” agenda.
The tour, which commenced today, September 11, 2026, is expected to provide the President with an opportunity to engage traditional leaders, local authorities, communities, businesses and other stakeholders on development priorities in the region.
President Mahama is also expected to inspect ongoing government projects and assess the progress of key initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and other sectors.
The visit forms part of the President’s broader regional engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration between the central government and local communities while communicating his administration’s development agenda.
During the tour, President Mahama is expected to meet chiefs and opinion leaders and interact with residents on challenges affecting the region.
The Upper West tour comes as the government continues efforts to implement its “Resetting Ghana” programme, which it says is focused on economic recovery, job creation, improved public services and inclusive development. Enditem
